Jay Venkat leads the Technology Advantage Practice Area in North America for Boston Consulting Group. He is currently the office leader (OL) for the Bay Area (covering the firm’s offices in San Francisco and Silicon Valley). Jay’s experience as a former recruiting partner and many years as a career development advisor make him well suited for this role.

Jay is a global topic expert in digital and technology transformation including agile ways of working and large scale re-platforming. He also co-leads BCG’s Digital Center in New York.

Since joining the firm in 2003, Jay has worked with global players in the telecommunications and entertainment industries on end-to-end digitization programs, including creating and implementing a playbook for new ways of working and developing a digital factory design to create the digital stack.

Jay has also worked with clients in the financial and insurance sectors on technology transformations, as well as agile and new ways of working. He has also assessed sales force effectiveness and conducted market and consumer analyses to understand spending patterns.

Before joining BCG, Jay worked for Halliburton Company in Egypt as a field engineer and for British American Tobacco in India as a technical manager.
