Carol Liao is the first female head of Boston Consulting Group in Greater China and currently serves as chair of the region, as well as head of BCG’s CEO Advisory in Greater China. She joined BCG in Greater China in 1995, with more than 30 years of consulting experience with both multinational companies and large Asian/Chinese corporations on strategy, M&A, organization and operation improvement, and AI and digital transformation. She is a core member of BCG’s Consumer and Global Advantage practice areas, playing a vital role in delivering BCG’s most strategic value to clients. She served on BCG’s Global Executive Committee from 2016 to 2022 as an elected member.
A regular public speaker at top-level commercial forums, Carol is the coauthor of several influential books including Untangling Conflict: An Introspective Guide for Families in Business (Penguin Random House 2022), China’s Pathway to Net Zero (CITIC Publishing House, 2021), Digital in China (CITIC Publishing House, 2021), and The $10 Trillion Prize: Captivating the Newly Affluent in China and India (Harvard Business Review Press, 2012).
Prior to joining BCG, she worked for Procter & Gamble, China.
