Jesper Nielsen is Boston Consulting Group's global practice leader for expertise advantage—overseeing more than 2,000 expert consultants and researchers—the firm’s knowledge technology platforms, and related GenAI initiatives.
Jesper has held several leadership roles within BCG’s Corporate Finance & Strategy practice, including regional practice leader for Europe. He specializes in corporate strategy and M&A topics throughout the life cycle of the transaction, including divestitures, carve-outs, commercial due diligence (buy- and sell-side), synergy assessments, merger integrations, and day one planning. He also has extensive expertise in takeover and activist defense.
Throughout his career, Jesper has contributed to over 200 transactions and managed more than 30 large-scale merger integrations and carve-outs. Additionally, he has successfully led numerous transformation and cost-reduction programs across industries, including industrial goods, consumer and retail, health care, and biotech.
Jesper was the first regional practice area leader in Europe for BCG’s Social Impact practice, during which time he led the growth of the firm’s climate and sustainability business. He spearheaded BCG’s engagement with COP26 and continues his significant involvement at the intersection of sustainability and finance, collaborating closely with prominent NGOs, including the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
