John Dannberg is a core member of the Consumer and Marketing & Sales practices at Boston Consulting Group. He is the lead Principal for the Consumer practice in the Nordics.

John works mainly with leading retailers and consumer goods companies. His work focuses on delivering uplift in business performance as well as building new capabilities. John specializes in strategy, M&A, and reorganization, as well as key commercial and operational topics, such as concept development, sales, pricing, category management, sourcing, and store operations. Many of his projects have involved developing and deploying new digital and advanced analytics tools and ways of working to deliver better performance.

John’s retail clients have included grocery, DIY and technical trade, general merchandise, department stores, discount, E-commerce, food service, and automotive players. In consumer goods, he has covered FMCG and durables. Recently, John has focused mostly on companies in the Nordics, but has also worked with clients in the UK, Russia and Eastern Europe, and Australia.
