Rza Nuriyev is a core member of The Boston Consulting Group’s Energy practice.

Since joining BCG in 2007, Rza has worked primarily with companies in oil and gas, petrochemicals, advising them on key issues related to strategy, operations, organization, and people management. His engagements have covered initiatives on operational efficiency, maintenance, go-to-market strategy, localization strategy, total shareholder return, post-merger integration, as well as improving efficiency of organizations and processes.

Since 2017, Rza leads business development the Caucasus and Central Asia region, which at this moment covers Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. In this region, Rza successfully executed projects on full-scale transformation of the largest producing oil and gas asset, evaluation of effectiveness of trading operations, commercial optimization of oil products sales, reorganization of headquarters of a large oil and gas company, increasing investment attractiveness of a country and others.

Rza was formerly the recruiting director in BCG’s Moscow office, and he continues to focus on mentoring junior staff. Before joining BCG, he worked as an expert on the design of 4th generation telecommunications systems in Nortel Networks, USA.
