Carsten Schaetzberger joined Boston Consulting Group in 2003 and spent time in BCG’s Cologne and Detroit offices before moving to Stuttgart. Carsten leads BCG’s Industrial Goods practice in Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East (CEMA) and is head of the firm’s Stuttgart office.

Carsten has worked extensively with automotive, aerospace, and industrial clients, in Europe, the US, and Asia, advising them on a wide range of topics. He has led multiple transformation programs with performance optimization along the full value chain (fixed-cost and restructuring, product cost and procurement, research and development, sales, and after-sales). In recent years, he has also had a strong focus on digital transformation, including digital business building, and advanced analytics based optimization.

Prior to joining BCG, Carsten worked as a researcher at Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering. He also worked at TÜV Rheinland Japan, and on high-precision measurement techniques for BAE Systems in the UK.
