Tim Mohin is member of Boston Consulting Group's Climate & Sustainability and Social Impact practices. He works with clients around the world in a variety of industries on integrating sustainability issues into corporate strategy. Tim is a globally recognized sustainability/ESG executive with 40 years of experience in sustainability, spanning government, industry, and non-profits. His clients benefit from his ability to navigate ESG disclosure policies, ethical global supply chains, carbon accounting systems, decarbonization strategies, transition planning, and integrating ESG concepts into investment strategies.

Tim is the former CEO of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and was a senior sustainability leader with Intel, Apple, and AMD. He also led development of key environmental policies—including the Clean Air Act—working in the Environmental Protection Agency and the US Senate. Just prior to joining BCG, Tim was Chief Sustainability Officer of carbon accounting software startup Persefoni. He has extensive experience in pre-competitive collaboration on sustainability issues including as a Founder and Chairman of the Responsible Business Alliance.

The author of the book Changing Business from the Inside Out. He writes the weekly ESG and Climate News, Tim is a frequent speaker on sustainable business. He is often listed as a top sustainability influencer and is one of LinkedIn Top 15 Voices in the Green Economy. In addition to his work with the firm, Tim lectures on sustainable business at Duke, Harvard, Michigan, and other universities. He has testified before Congress several times and is a frequent keynote speaker, as well as an expert advisor on ESG matters to the UK Financial Conduct Authority and several large multinational corporations. Tim has served on numerous non-profit boards and advisory committees.
