Pratik Shah joined Boston Consulting Group in 2016. He is a core member of the firm’s Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE) practice and global leader for investment fund strategy and operations.

Pratik works with both private equity funds and principal investors from around the world on their most complex challenges, primarily on the design of investment and asset class strategy, investor (LP) and stakeholder management, corporate development and diversification, and the restructuring and optimization of internal firm operations. He has significant experience in the end-to-end design and launch of new funds, and in addressing questions at specific parts of the investment lifecycle.

Pratik’s current priorities are focused on operationalizing and scaling new government-sponsored investment and infrastructure funds in the emerging markets, as well as working with established private equity funds on specific asset growth, differentiation, and operating model topics.

In addition, he has been working closely with fund CEOs on the repositioning of their investment strategy and operating models in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and helping them develop advanced data and analytics capabilities to drive competitive advantage throughout their value chains.

Prior to joining the firm, Pratik was an investment professional at a $2 billion growth capital fund and an analyst and associate in M&A at a US bulge-bracket investment bank.
