Arturs Smilkstins joined Boston Consulting Group in 2012. As a leader in the Industrial Goods practice, Arturs co-leads the automotive work for the UK, Belgium, and the Netherlands. His expertise is primarily in the automotive and mobility industries, where he has worked extensively with global clients in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
 
Arturs’s experience includes OEMs, suppliers, retail dealers, and mobility providers. In his work with OEMs, he specializes in sales and marketing strategy, executing comprehensive turnarounds, and spearheading digital and organizational transformations. In his work with cities, he specializes in mobility transformation. As a core leader of the Urban CityFlow Mobility Hub, he has led landmark projects to transform the entire mobility network of large cities, from designing and implementing urban strategy and operational plans (including deployment of digital twins) to designing the operating model for land authorities and ministries. His work often involves driving operational enhancements through the innovative use of Industry 4.0 tools.

Before joining BCG, Arturs worked at Market Gravity, a London-based innovation consultancy (part of Deloitte), where he focused on new product development and enhancing customer experiences. Earlier in his career, he held General Partner and Head of Sales roles at a personal development and consulting firm dedicated to motivating people and advancing small and medium-sized businesses.
