Burak Tansan is the managing partner of The Boston Consulting Group in Turkey, having rejoined BCG in 2010 to establish the Istanbul office. He is a core member of BCG’s Financial Institutions, Insurance, and Strategy practices, and he leads the Globalization practice in Italy, Greece, and Turkey.
Burak has senior-level experience across multiple industries, with a specific focus on banking, insurance, consumer and retail, industrial goods, and conglomerates. His client experience has covered large-scale transformation and postmerger integration programs for Turkish and multinational companies, governance and organizational model redesign for leading conglomerates, and numerous portfolio assessments.
Prior to opening BCG’s Istanbul office, Burak was the executive vice president in charge of strategy and corporate communications at Akbank. He has also held board membership positions at two major Turkish companies.
