Michael Hu is core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Consumer and Operations practices. His focus for the last 17 years has been working with consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies and retailers on digital supply chain, operations, and supply chain transformation to enable growth and unlock margins

Examples of Michael’s recent experiences include collaborating with a leading quick-serve restaurant on supply chain transformation to improve operator experience and unlock capacity; advising a micro-fulfillment automation company on its growth strategy; working with a beverage CPG on digital sales and operations execution (S&OE) planning; and helping a food CPG accelerate direct and indirect procurement productivity.

Before joining BCG, Michael was a partner at Kearney. He also spent several years early in his career designing big data algorithms for cancer genomics at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Harvard Medical School), and at Caprion Biosciences.

In addition to his client work, Michael is also passionate about intellectual capital and thought leadership. He has written for and presented at various venues such as The World Economic Forum and MIT Sloan Management Review.
