Bernhard Gehra joined Boston Consulting Group in 2005. He leads BCG’s European ESG (environmental, social, and governance), Compliance and Risk team. Since joining BCG, Bernhard has worked with many global companies on issues related to governance, digitization, risk management, and compliance.

Bernhard is an author of numerous publications on financial and non-financial risk management, compliance, finance, big data, and controlling. He also co-authored the book, “Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing: Practical Implementation of the Regulatory Requirements by Banks.” He is part of the global leadership team of BCG’s work in ESG, Compliance and Risk management.

Prior to joining the firm, Bernhard was Project Manager at a worldwide operating securities services company in Munich, New York, and London.
