Prior to becoming a Senior Advisor, Kermit was a Managing Director and Senior Partner in the Chicago and Boston offices of Boston Consulting Group. He led the Americas Strategy Practice and was a member of the Consumer Goods and Industrial Goods practice areas.

Since Kermit joined BCG in 1993, his client work has focused on growth strategy, including category expansion, adjacent M&A, breakthrough innovation, and global market entry across sectors such as packaged foods, household care, retail, media, consumer durables, and health care.

Kermit believes growth is the primary driver of value. But moving from strong operator to strong grower is a tough imperative for even the best companies. After more than 50 client engagements and backed by years of BCG research, Kermit has seen companies deliver growth despite stagnant demand and competitive turbulence. He believes these companies teach repeatable lessons about finding the right shape of growth investment and about the disciplines that deliver return on that investment.

Before joining BCG, Kermit worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York.
