David Jin leads Boston Consulting Group’s Shanghai office. He has extensive consulting and industry experience in consumer and industrial goods and has worked with many leading multinational corporations and local Chinese companies on strategy, operation, and organization projects.

David has been a frequent speaker at business conferences, including the China Automotive Summit, the China Entrepreneur Roundtable Discussion, and World Economic Forum conferences. He has presented on topics such as the development of electric cars in China and the exploration of a new growth model for the Chinese economy.

David is also a guest teacher for MBA classes at several local universities. In 2008 he contributed his expertise to BCG’s report Winning the Localization Game: The Strategic Potential of China and India in Automotive Manufacturing.

Before joining BCG in 1998, David was a project leader and research scientist for Bristol-Myers Squibb and an assistant manager at SIIC Kehua Biochemical.
