Stefan Bleyhl is a core member of the Financial Institutions and Insurance practices at The Boston Consulting Group.

Stefan initially joined BCG in 1999. He left the firm as a principal in 2007 and, after working as an executive director at Bülow & Consorten, returned in 2015, bringing deep business expertise in operations and distribution.

During his more than 15 years in the insurance industry, Stefan worked for various large European insurance players in transforming their business and operating model along relevant steps of the value chain. His projects included improving the product development and -management function, optimizing the underwriting and operations processes, redesigning the claims and benefits activities, and enhancing the sales performance across all relevant channels.

In addition, Stefan gained experience in managing PMI processes for regional German insurance groups, starting from the strategic assessment of the candidates and expanding into management of the integration processes.
