Olga Botero is a core member of the Technology Advantage and Financial Institutions practices at The Boston Consulting Group. She is the former CIO of Grupo Bancolombia, one of the largest financial groups in Latin America.

Olga joined BCG as a senior advisor in 2011, bringing executive experience from across a broad range of industries, including financial services, telecommunications, technology, retail, transportation and travel and tourism.

Olga is passionate about information technology as the key enabler of businesses today. She believes companies have a huge opportunity to support an increase in technology awareness and expertise, both at the executive and board levels, so that more business value can be created. She is also a strong believer that IT and cybersecurity need to be better understood and managed, and she has made it her quest to turn this into a widely discussed topic beyond those directly involved with her customers today.

She also serves as nonexecutive director and advisor at a number of publicly and privately owned company boards in the US and Latin America, where she also chairs several IT and cybersecurity committees.
