Alexander Baic is a core member of the Social Impact practice at Boston Consulting Group and co-leads BCG’s Social Impact practice area in Germany and Austria. He is responsible for BCG’s work in Germany and Austria with nonprofits, government aid organizations, foundations, and social entrepreneurs, as well as BCG’s projects in the area of corporate social responsibility.

In co-leading BCG’s social impact efforts, Alex focuses on assessment of social impact and innovation. He developed an impact assessment approach for a leading consumer goods company and an international NGO with programs in over 100 countries. Together with a German NGO, he worked on developing digital innovations to leverage artificial intelligence to end hunger.

Alex has also worked with leading organizations to support the integration of refugees in Germany. He supported a leading INGO in introducing its emergency intervention, Child Friendly Spaces, in Germany’s largest refugee accommodation, Tempelhof, in Berlin and supported the development of a program, which helps teachers integrate refugees, reaching more than 1,000 teachers and more than 25,000 students. In addition, Alex has supported leading social startups in the area of integration. He authored the report How 300 Companies Integrated 2,500 Refugees into Germany’s Labor Market based on a survey of 300 companies.
