Jaap Backx is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Financial Institutions and People & Organization practices and co-leads the Enterprise Agility topic globally. He has more than 12 years’ experience in Dutch retail and wholesale banking and has worked extensively on many people –and organization cases, mostly in relation to agile, organization design, and Smart Simplicity.

Jaap has engaged in business steering, people-and-organization, and postmerger integration (PMI) projects as part of his banking work. These include leading a business steering project for a top Dutch retail bank, developing KPIs for a private-banking investments-support center, helping to realign the strategy and development of an ambitious growth program for a major Dutch retail bank, and (in light of a large banking merger) developing a new business plan for a major Dutch retail bank.

Jaap’s expertise in PMI has been a valuable asset in multiple projects involving the integration of Dutch retail banks.
