As a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Energy and Public Sector practices, Karan Mistry focuses on using big data and advanced analytics to tackle a wide range of business challenges. He is particularly interested in climate, sustainability, and transportation.

By helping his clients use data to solve complex business challenges, Karan works at the intersection of energy and data analytics. He joined BCG in January 2015, and has worked mostly in utilities, renewables, and transportation. In his work for the firm, he has assessed a utility's wildfire safety program and developed recommendations for improving end-to-end processes for future fire seasons. He also developed a residential rooftop solar PV and storage forecast model and assessed expected market growth for buy- and sell-side due diligences. And he recently supported a State Governor's office in developing a comprehensive COVID-19 response strategy.

While earning his PhD, Karan worked at the MIT Center for Clean Water and Clean Energy.
