March 16, 2026 | New at BCG
BOSTON—Boston Consulting Group (BCG) was named a Leader in organizational change management (OCM) services in a new report by Forrester Research, a leading independent research firm. Titled The Forrester Wave™: Organizational Change Management Services, Q1 2026, the report stated, “Change leaders faced with ambitious goals, high risk, and scrutiny will find assurance in BCG’s clear and methodical approach and people centricity.”
The Forrester Wave™ evaluation reviewed 12 OCM services providers, classifying them into three categories: Leaders, Strong Performers, and Contenders. BCG was one of only three providers identified as a Leader in the report.
“Organizations that build the capability to transform consistently can convert change into lasting value,” said Christoph Schweizer, BCG’s CEO. “Whether transformation is driven by AI, cost pressure, or growth ambitions, BCG works closely with clients to help embed change into day-to-day operations. We’re proud to be recognized by Forrester as a leader in organizational change management.”
Forrester assessed providers using 20 criteria organized into two high-level categories: current offering and strategy.
- BCG received the highest score among all evaluated providers in the “current offering” category, and tied for the highest score in the “strategy” category.
- At the criteria level, BCG received 5.0/5.0 ratings (the highest score possible) across eight criteria, the most of any evaluated vendor in the report.
In BCG’s vendor profile, Forrester noted that “customers distinguished BCG as providing ‘empathy and expertise’ where other providers showed strength in one or the other.” The report added that the firm “shines at helping stakeholders understand the hearts and minds of employees through actionable persona work that extends beyond recognizing users’ needs and motivations to supporting their autonomy throughout the change journey.”
“We’re honored to receive this recognition from Forrester,” said Gertie Find Lærkholm, BCG’s global topic leader for change management. “AI is accelerating transformation, but the fundamentals remain the same. Successful transformations dedicate 10% of the effort to technology, 20% to tools and processes, and 70% to people. We continue to strengthen our approach, including with agentic AI capabilities, while helping organizations focus on that critical 70% so change takes hold and endures.”
