Nikolay Belkov focuses on the energy industry at Boston Consulting Group. He is a core member of the Energy practice area within which he concentrates on oil and gas, operations, and organizational transformation. He has also worked with clients in corporate strategy and operating model development having worked with super-majors, IOCs, and NOCs in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, Russia, and North America.

Nikolay’s project work has helped him build expertise across a full range of topics in the industry, including restructuring, corporate and divisional strategy, operational improvement, organization and change management, functional excellence, process redesign, portfolio review, and M&A and due diligence.

Specifically, Nikolay has supported the strategy and corporate development division of a large UK bank in a confidential assignment, helped a natural resources group with sourcing and working capital optimization, carried out a cost reduction project on goods not for sale for a group of high-end luxury retailers, and developed an inventory management system for a global petroleum company.

Prior to coming to work at the firm, Nikolay worked for BP and Shell in a number of commercial roles in E&P, trading, downstream, and corporate center, as well as a working as a commercial analyst for BP Exploration, and at Royal Dutch Shell as a Manager for Shell East Europe.
