LONDON, 10 December 2020 - Mai-Britt Poulsen has been appointed to lead Boston Consulting Group (BCG)’s presence in the UK, Netherlands and Belgium.
Mai-Britt is currently Global Chief of Staff and sits on both BCG’s Executive and Operating Committees, working closely with the Global Chief Executive, Rich Lesser. Previously, she led BCG Denmark and was People Lead for BCG in the Nordics region and has held senior positions in the firm’s Consumer and Strategy Practices, leading teams delivering large-scale transformation programs for clients across Europe and North America.
Mai-Britt will oversee BCG’s London, Amsterdam and Brussels (L-A-B) system whilst the firm supports its clients in navigating a period of intense disruption, including dealing with the continued effects of the coronavirus pandemic and the acceleration of digital transformation that this has brought about.
Stuart Quickenden, who hands over having completed his full six-year term leading the L-A-B and London businesses, takes on the role of UK Chair for BCG and remains on BCG’s Global Executive Committee.
The firm’s continued commitment to the UK is underlined by the taking of new office space in Charlotte Street, which the firm will move into in mid-2021.
Mai-Britt commented: “I am very excited for the opportunity to take on this new challenge. This year has presented unimaginable change and I look forward to partnering with our clients to navigate the continued disruption and economic uncertainty whilst positioning themselves to lead in the new reality. The acceleration of trends such as digitalization and sustainability are top of mind for leaders across industries and within BCG I look forward to further building our digital capabilities, driving our diversity and inclusion agenda and making progress on our path to net-zero climate impact.”
Dr Hubertus Meinecke, Chairman of BCG in Western Europe, South America and Africa added: “Mai-Britt’s commitment to helping clients adapt to challenges is even more pertinent in this new reality we find ourselves in and I’m looking forward to working with her to build on the significant capabilities and incredibly talented team that Stuart has grown over the last six years.”
Before joining BCG, Mai-Britt worked with Nordea Corporate Finance and has Bachelor degrees from New York University Stern School of Business and Copenhagen Business School, as well as Masters in finance from both Stockholm School of Economics and Copenhagen Business School.
