Ákos Újlaki is a core member of the Boston Consulting Group’s Health Care and Insurance practices focusing on Central and Eastern Europe and the broader European market.
Ákos advises clients across the health care ecosystem, including biopharma, medtech, providers, and payers, on strategy, M&A and transaction support, and large-scale transformation. He has extensive experience leading commercial and vendor due diligences, as well as supporting post-merger integrations and value creation programs across health care assets, including providers, diagnostics, and medtech.
Ákos works with health care companies and insurers on growth strategy, market entry, and cross-border expansion across Europe. He also supports clients on cost efficiency programs and operating model transformations, including organizational redesign and performance improvement. In the payer and public sector space, Ákos advises clients on funding models, system reform, and performance optimization, including hospital network transformation.
A particular focus of his work is supporting small and mid-sized pharmaceutical and medtech companies as they scale their operations, strengthen market access, and navigate complex European markets.
