Alpesh Shah leads The Boston Consulting Group’s Insurance practice in the Asia-Pacific region and is the topic leader for property and casualty insurance globally. He is also a member of BCG’s Financial Institutions and Technology, Media & Telecommunications practices.

Since joining BCG in 2000, Alpesh has worked with numerous insurance companies, banks, and asset-management companies across the Asia-Pacific region. His client work has covered a wide range of topics, including the building of new banks, segment-specific strategy development, portfolio analysis, new business launch, pricing, channel effectiveness, and operational efficiency.

He has also advised a broad variety of telcos in India, Asia-Pacific, and Africa on issues related to distribution strategies, cost management and reduction, postmerger integration, business divestiture, communications life-cycle management, and implementation support.

Alpesh is a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s asset-management committee and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s insurance committee. Before joining BCG, he was a team leader for Booz Allen Hamilton in Mumbai.
