Annalena Hagenauer is a core member of the Climate & Sustainability and Energy practices at Boston Consulting Group.

She works with private and public sector clients on emission reduction, climate policies, and regulation, as well as on identifying innovation and growth opportunities in the context of the green energy and net-zero transition, both globally and in the Middle East.

Recently, Annalena developed a comprehensive decarbonization roadmap for a major economy in the Middle East, developed a sustainability strategy for a leading European logistics player, advised a government on its strategic transition to a greener and less carbon-intensive economy, and developed a countrywide carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) strategy for an industrial goods player in the Middle East.

Prior to joining BCG, Annalena worked as an economic consultant in London, focusing on energy sector regulation and international arbitration.
