Cathy Carlisi is a senior advisor at BCG BrightHouse, a Boston Consulting Group company. BrightHouse is a global creative consultancy that pioneered the practice of helping organizations uncover their timeless purpose to grow their people, profits, and impact. In her 26 years at BrightHouse, Cathy held a variety of positions, including managing director, president of the Americas, and chief creative officer.
Her role as senior advisor will allow her to balance her ongoing work igniting change and creating impact with her work as an author and artist. Cathy is an expert in purpose articulation, activation, and integration, as well as creative communications and brand, employee engagement and change management, and purpose-driven leadership. She joined BrightHouse shortly after it was founded and helped grow its processes, products, frameworks, and staff into a premier creative purpose-driven consultancy. She has led seminal work across geographies and industries from financial to consumer with a focus on industrial goods and government.
Cathy is also an educator, and teaches, or has taught, at the following institutions: Emory University Goizetta School of Business, McGill University, Colorado University Business School, The Miami Ad School (Portfolio Center), and Sewanee. Her co-authored book, The Conversation Turns To Wide-Mouth Jars, was published in 2022 by Kelsay Books, and was honored as a Book All Georgians Should Read. Cathy has poems in journals including The Atlanta Review, Prairie Schooner, Mid-American Review, Southern Poetry Review, The Greensboro Review, Sycamore Review, West Branch, and many others. Her poetry also appears in anthologies.
