Charles Gildehaus co-founded BCG Digital Ventures, Boston Consulting Group’s corporate venture investment and incubation firm, in January, 2014. He currently serves as global lead for Digital Ventures’ Financial Institutions practice, and previously led the launch and build-out of Digital Ventures’ Global Innovation Center in New York.

Charles founded his first digital startup in 1995, and has remained at the digital forefront, working variously as an entrepreneur, investor, and advisor to the world's leading technology companies. He focuses on advising CEOs and senior executives across the industry on digital innovation, transformation, and new business build. Over the last seven years at BCG Digital Ventures, Charles has led the design, build, and launch of more than 20 new digital businesses, working with market leaders across every major industry sector. He has particularly deep expertise in the financial services, insurance, and industrial goods industries.

Prior to co-founding BCG Digital Ventures, Charles co-founded Mercator Partners and served as its CEO for ten years. At Mercator, he invested in and incubated a series of successful digital startups, and advised CEOs and senior executives on digital strategy across the telecommunications and technology sectors . Charles previously worked in the Merger and Acquisitions Group at Merrill Lynch and at Cahill Gordon & Reindel on Wall Street.
