Christian Niebuhr is part of the leadership teams for Boston Consulting Group's Operations, Industrial Goods, and Transform practices. He is a procurement and operations expert and leads procurement in materials and process industries for Central Europe. He has extensive experience in leading AI enabled cost and margin transformations, including in chemicals, metals, and building materials.
With a focus on cost optimization and procurement transformation, he is a member of the Rapid Value & Cash initiative (RVC), supporting clients with some of the most critical situations including restructuring. Christian has gained significant expertise in applied AI in procurement and agentic workflows, managing volatile cost and inflation, as well as cross-functionally addressing specifications, demand and Capex. He is closely familiar with the definition of future proof operating models, AI first processes and procurement organizations.
Christian joined the firm in 2013.
