Edward Zaayman joined Boston Consulting Group in 2019. He focuses on capital project execution and optimization, and has more than ten years’ experience consulting on large capital projects and portfolios in heavy industry. He has served clients in oil and gas, electric power, renewables, hydrogen, and mining across Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. Edward is a core member of the firm’s Industrial Goods practice.

Edward set up the Lean Construction Institute in South Africa, and is a frequent speaker on the subject of lean construction, both as a guest lecturer and at conferences in Europe and Australia. At BCG, he has supported more than ten mega projects from design to execution. In 2022, Edward was on secondment as the venture director for a renewables mega-project in Africa, where he drove the project from pre-feasibility to setup.

Before joining BCG, Edward spent eight years at McKinsey where he led the Lean Construction service for Africa and the Capital practice for Africa. Prior to consulting, Edward worked in research and design and ran an environmental startup in Abu Dhabi.
