Heitor Carrera is a core member of the Industrial Goods practice at The Boston Consulting Group. He leads BCG's Strategy and Private Equity and Principal Investing practices in Brazil.

Heitor joined BCG in 2004, and has been working with strategy consulting since 2000. Most of his work with clients has involved strategy development for a wide range of industries, including metals and mining, process industries, financial services, consumer goods, and private equity.

For Heitor, working in consulting is a way of being constantly challenged and of learning new things at a very fast pace. He likes to work very closely with his clients and teams, fostering an environment of trust in which new ideas can be tested. He also believes that creating a high-performing performance team is possible only if its members are developing in all dimensions of their professional and personal lives.

Prior to joining BCG, Heitor worked for four years in strategy consulting and for eight years as a system/financial analyst at a bank, construction company, and Internet start-up.
