Jamie McCarthy joined Boston Consulting group in 2005. He is a core member of the firm’s Operations and Consumer practices and focuses on advising pharmaceutical and consumer goods companies on a variety of strategic and operational issues.

He has led and managed major lean-transformation efforts in a wide range of industries—for example, heading a diagnostic and transformation effort for a pharmaceutical manufacturer and developing a benchmarking study of a 70-plant network for a beverage producer.

Other clients have included a white-goods manufacturer, an aeroengine manufacturer, an automotive original-equipment manufacturer (OEM), and an agricultural OEM.

Before joining BCG, Jamie was a principal in the automotive practice at A.T. Kearney.

Jamie is an integral part of the firm's Operations Center in Chicago, one of ten global operations centers that serve as hubs for comprehensive operations support and offer tailored, fully integrated solutions to optimize operations for long-term success.
