Jean-Paul Petranca focuses on sports and entertainment at Boston Consulting Group. He is a core member of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice, and co-leads the firm's work in sports globally.

Jean-Paul has worked with sports leagues, championships, governing bodies, teams, sponsors, and others in the sports ecosystem on a broad range of strategic and operational issues. He has worked on these topics across North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australasia.

Examples of his more than 40 projects in the sports space include: creating a growth strategy for a global sporting league, covering media rights, digital assets, revenue sharing, and organization design; designing the global strategy for a major individual sport, covering media rights, competition structure, and governance; and planning the fan and commercial growth strategy for a leading sports team--covering all supporter touchpoints, retail, merchandise, and sponsorship.

In addition to his sports experience Jean-Paul has more than 20 years' experience in consulting to the media industry, and has supported many clients through digital transformation.
