Jimmy Feng is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Technology, Media & Telecom practice. He specializes in consumer electronics sales and marketing, augmented reality and virtual reality (VR/AR), strategic planning, and product development.
Jimmy has worked for clients in a variety of technology industries including consumer electronics companies, telecom operators, telco equipment manufacturers, and industrial equipment manufacturers, as well as in private equity. In his recent engagements, he has developed a digital health care strategy for a leading telco in Taiwan, including market scanning for potential JV partners; and identified key cost and growth levers for Taiwan's incumbent telco's B2B business.
Before Jimmy joined the firm in 2011, he was a software engineer and software project manager for five years with Motorola. He left BCG between 2014 and 2017 to join HTC’s VR business as head of APAC.
The nature of the chip shortages—and the device types affected—will change over time, requiring automakers to actively manage risks as the situation evolves.
