Joris Schefold joined Boston Consulting Group in 2019 in Stockholm and moved to the Nairobi office in 2024. He is a core member of the Social Impact practice where he works on elevating African smallholders. He is also part of the Energy practice with a particular focus on renewable energy and utilities.
In his recent engagements, Joris developed a private-sector-driven agriculture model, designed the transformation for a major pan-African agriculture-focused NGO, and set up a decarbonization strategy for a major EU utility in multiple countries.
He has worked with clients on agriculture, social impact, economic development, and renewable energy systems projects. Before joining the firm, Joris gained experience in physics and teaching sustainability to high school students.
