E-commerce sales are growing at an explosive rate, but manufacturers of consumer packaged goods are lagging online. These companies must take action in four areas to make up lost ground.
The principles of time-based competition—a classic concept among BCG insights—still hold. But today’s companies must be adaptive, as well as fast, in order to succeed.
To generate sustained growth in today’s environment, companies must transform their businesses preemptively, not defensively.
