Malene Rydahl is a Senior Advisor and Executive Coach for Boston Consulting Group specializing in wellbeing and performance as inspired by the Danish leadership model. Malene was born in Denmark and has lived in Paris for more than 25 years. She is the author of the bestselling book “ Happy as a Dane,” published in more than 12 languages.
Malene works with major French and multinational companies, and is a frequent keynote speaker at business events, as well as international institutions and elite schools, and a TEDx speaker. She is also a lecturer on wellbeing and performance at HEC Executive Education and Sciences Po Paris. Certified as an executive coach by Manning Inspire in Copenhagen, Malene offers individual and group programs of executive coaching to CEOs and executive leaders who wish to improve the engagement, wellbeing, and performance of their employees.
Malene has 18 years of experience in the corporate world, most recently as Director of Corporate Communication for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in EMEA, overseeing 42 hotels. She has also worked at Bang & Olufsen and at the agency “Les Ouvriers du Paradis” (WPP group) heading the key account Le Bon Marché (LVMH). She was part of the advisory committee for the creation of the Positive Economy Forum in 2012, an initiative under the sponsorship of the French President. She is also an associate of the Danish startup 42 Raw, a healthy fast food concept in Copenhagen.
Malene Rydahl also advocates for the implementation of empathy classes for students in sixth grade in French public schools, and works extensively on the project with the support of the Ministry of National Education, The Academy of Paris, and The Observatory of Well-Being at School.
Malene’s second book “Le Bonheur Sans Illusions” (Flammarion) was published in 2017, and her most recent book, “Je te réponds…moi non plus” (Flammarion ) was published in February 2020.
