Manuel Diehn joined Boston Consulting Group in November 2018. He is a principal data scientist and a core member of the firm's Financial Institutions practice. He is an expert in prescriptive analysis, machine learning, data engineering, time series analysis, and probabilistic risk analysis.

Among many engagements, for clients in the financial services industry Manuel developed both an an early warning engine for credit default risk, and a next-best-offer recommender engine. For his automotive clients, he developed a tool to forecast option take rates, and a tool for forecasting the return of sales support invested. He has also supported multiple clients in the social impact sector.

Before joining the firm, Manuel was a research scientist for five years at the University of Göttingen
