Manuel Luiz joined The Boston Consulting Group in 2001 as an associate in the Lisbon office. He transferred to Latin America at the end of 2009. Before arriving in Brazil, Manuel worked almost two years in the firm’s Southern Cone system, out of Santiago, Chile.

Manuel’s experience at BCG ranges across topics and industries. He is a core member of the Energy and People & Organization practices. Manuel has worked extensively in cost optimization, asset productivity, change management, and human resources.

His prior professional experience includes consulting for Tatweer Dubai, a governmental company within the United Arab Emirates, where he analyzed new potential sustainable revenue streams for the company.

Manuel has contributed to several BCG publications on topics such as people advantage and project management office. He is a native Portuguese speaker who is also fluent in English and Spanish.
