Marc Schmidt is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Industrial Goods, Operations, and Transform practices. With a background in mechanical engineering, he works with industrial companies on large-scale transformation programs, business strategy and planning and performance improvement, including manufacturing and operational excellence, and production-footprint optimization.

His expertise in operations and manufacturing and pragmatic approach to change and transformation leadership enable Marc to work closely with management teams to translate ambitious strategic and financial objectives into concrete actions, establish ownership throughout the organization, and drive tangible and sustainable results. In addition, his work considers the impact of AI infrastructure investment on industrial companies.

Marc works primarily with machinery, industrial technology, green tech, and other manufacturing intensive businesses. He joined BCG in 2016 and has worked with clients across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the US. Prior to joining BCG, he worked in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs and in production planning at Ford.
