Mario Gonsalves joined Boston Consulting Group in 2010 and leads BCG’s Public Sector practice in India and Travel, Cities & Infrastructure practice for Asia Pacific.

Mario has considerable expertise in large-scale transformation, growth strategy, infrastructure development and financing, go-to-market, and LEAN operations. He has led major transformation projects in public sector infrastructure, including airports, roads, and shipping and logistics. He has also worked with industrial goods companies on defining strategies and driving operations excellence in automotive, mining, cement, iron ore, refractories and agricultural inputs.

Mario has worked on projects across North America, South Africa, India, and Sri Lanka, including spending a year in the Philadelphia office as part of BCG’s Global Ambassador program. Mario is a 2024 honoree of the prestigious Economic Times 40 Under 40 list of leaders of tomorrow to watch for in India.

Before joining the firm, he worked at Siemens India Ltd. where he marketed and executed power distribution projects in the paper, food, and water industries.
