Martin Högel joined Boston Consulting Group in 2016. He specializes in operations, primarily in procurement and supply chain management. He is a core member of the firm's Operations and Energy Practices.

Martin has worked extensively with companies across industries to help them realize more value from their supply, including sourcing and partnering strategies, cost reduction, and organizational efficacy and functional transformation. He has also worked on supply chain and distribution, industrial scale-up, product cost optimization, and capital project management.

Most of Martin's recent work has centered on helping electric utilities build out their electricity grids to enable the energy transition. The focus of that work is developing suitable sourcing and supply market approaches, project delivery and contracting strategies, and engineering adjustments, to help clients deliver their large project pipelines on time and in a cost-effective manner in a supply constrained environment.

Martin also has specific expertise at the intersection of operations and financial transactions. In this area, he has worked with corporates and private equity firms on pre-deal due diligence and preparation and post-acquisition operations integration and value creation.

Prior to joining BCG, Martin—as regional business leader—helped build two operations consulting businesses that were later acquired by Accenture and KPMG. Before that, he worked with Siemens Power Generation in engineering and commercial positions in Chile and Germany.
