Mikhail Volkov is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Industrial Goods practice with particular expertise in the areas of metals and mining, transportation and logistics, and heavy engineering. Mikhail leads the firm’s work in operational excellence for Russia and CIS, with a focus on the optimization of production processes, supply chain and human capital, procurement, and Industry 4.0.

Since joining BCG in 2008, Mikhail has led multiple projects for major Russian companies that have covered the implementation of end-to-end transformations of industrial businesses, digital solutions development and implementation for industrial enterprises, competence build and engagement of employees, development strategy, operational excellence, and motivation systems.

Before joining BCG, Mikhail worked at the Ministry of Industry and Energy, and the Institute of Energy Strategy.
