Nicolas Busch is a member of Boston Consulting Group's Health Care and Insurance practices with a strong focus on payers and providers. He has extensive knowledge of European and Asian health care systems and has worked with a broad spectrum of stakeholders (payer, health insurance, provider, digital health, private equity) in those systems. Nicolas also has extensive knowledge of claims management, cost optimization using big data, and value-based-care.

His current focus is the digitization of health insurance. In his recent engagements with health insurance clients, Nicolas has supported the (digital) transformation of leading health insurance companies, developed an AI-based cost optimization tool for hospital claims management, and supported the optimization of cost management systems along several levers (long-term care, ambulatory care, drugs, medical products, fraud waste, and abuse) for several health insurance companies.

Prior to joining BCG, Nicolas studied medicine in Bonn and Istanbul and did several medical internships in Europe and Asia.
