As a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Financial Institutions practice and BCG Platinion, Paolo Valente leads the firm's work in technology and digital advantage in banking in the EMC region (Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel, and Caspian). Paolo joined BCG Platinion in November 2022 bringing over 25 years of experience in both consulting and banking. He has significant expertise in the financial services market (retail and private banking, wealth and asset management, insurance, and payments).

Paolo is skilled in a range of business and operative areas including strategy, technology-enabled large transformation programs, digital transformation initiatives, core banking modernization, Analytics and AI/GenAI, and operations. He previously held CIO/COO roles at Unicredit Group, and Ersel Private Banking Group, as well as management positions at McKinsey & Company and Accenture.
