Stéphane Israël is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Industrial Goods practice. He joined the firm in January 2025, bringing over 15 years’ experience in the defense and aerospace industries. Stéphane works with French and international aerospace and defense clients to anticipate and overcome challenges shaped by technology and sovereignty.

Stéphane began his career as an auditor and conseiller référendaire (legal advisor) at the French audit court in 2001, specializing in national defense, space, and industry. In 2007, he joined Airbus Group as Vice President, holding several key roles before becoming Chief of Staff to the Minister of Industrial Renewal in 2012. In 2013, he was appointed Chairman and CEO of Arianespace, the European leader in commercial space launch services, a role he held until 2017. From 2017 to 2021, he also served as Director of Civil Programs at ArianeGroup, a subsidiary of Arianespace.

Since April 2017, Stéphane has served as Executive Chairman of Arianespace and as a member of the ArianeGroup Executive Committee. He has been Chairman of the École Normale Supérieure Foundation since 2013.
