Sven Kossack is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Energy practice specializing in the long- and short-term commercialization of renewable power generation assets. He also supports industrial energy clients in developing and executing green power sourcing strategies.
Sven has considerable experience in structuring, negotiating, and executing complex power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other long-term offtake agreements. Since rejoining BCG, he has developed and implemented a green energy sourcing unit for a European oil and gas company, including strategy definition, org setup, and initiation of renewable power sourcing contracts; and worked with several industrial goods clients to reduce carbon intensity through green energy sourcing and optimizing (renewable) energy procurement.
Sven worked at BCG from 2011 to 2014, leaving to hold several leadership positions in the renewables business of RWE and E.ON, most recently, as Head of Customer Solutions at RWE Supply & Trading. He returned to BCG in January 2023.
