Tanja Michael is a member of Boston Consulting Group's Industrial Goods practice and the Materials & Chemicals core team. She works with clients in the energy, materials process, chemicals, and mining industries to help them achieve value by developing strategies to win in their markets, driving programs that transform their business, and enabling them to fundamentally change the nature of their business through mergers and acquisition. She is currently focusing on strategic large-scale transformation projects, such as portfolio and growth work and cost and efficiency programs, increasingly by leveraging agentic AI.
Tanja has in-depth expertise in site services and chemical parks, with a particular focus on infrastructure-intensive environments. Her work covers site and space management, storage and logistics, integrated asset strategies, and supply reliability—including water and waste management—as well as site safety.
