Umang Shah is a core member of Boston Consulting Group's Energy and Climate & Sustainability practices. He is the gas and low-carbon hydrogen lead for India. Umang joined the firm in 2015 and has more than 11 years of experience working on corporate transformation, market acceleration, post-merger integration, market entry/ diversification strategy, due diligence, and procurement transformation engagements across various industries including energy, industrial goods, consumer goods, consumer durables, pharma, insurance, and IT services.

Umang is currently specializing in gas, renewables and energy transition topics. Within the gas space, he has worked with clients along the entire value chain—upstream, midstream, and downstream. Within renewables, he has advised integrated utilities, renewable platforms, clean energy financing firms, and regulatory bodies on key strategic topics such as platform structuring, growth strategy, full potential plan development, emerging area financing, and green hydrogen production roadmap. Prior to joining BCG, Umang worked at other consulting firms.
