Wolfgang Dörner is head of The Boston Consulting Group’s Frankfurt office, which he joined in 1999. He is also a member of BCG's Financial Institutions and Social Impact practices.

Wolfgang is an expert in transformations of financial institutions in Germany and Europe, especially in the areas of restructuring, digitization, and post-merger integration. He is also an active member of BCG’s People & Organization and Public Sector practices.

Wolfgang has led the continuous management of comprehensive transformations for several German banks which included cost reductions, business expansion, and digitization. He also co-led a study on the potential consequences of Brexit that covered such things as location strategy, job transfers, and a comparison of the attractiveness of several international locations as alternatives to London.
