Yudong Cao joined Boston Consulting Group in February 2025. He is head of quantum and AI at BCG X, BCG's tech build and design unit. He has over a decade of experience contributing to advancing the potential of quantum computing to drive innovation and impact across industries.
His work focuses on leveraging quantum technologies and algorithms to solve complex challenges and create transformative solutions for clients. Yudong has published multiple papers, holds multiple patents (as coinventor), and has received many honors in informatics and computer science. He is passionate about fostering the integration of quantum computing and AI into practical applications that benefit organizations and society.
Before joining BCG X, Yudong worked for six years at Zapata AI as a founding scientist and CTO.
